Spartanburg's New Skate Park

The Hot Spot Skate Park, located at 339 Union Street opened June 3, 2009. The new facility is a public/private partnership between the City of Spartanburg and the Coalition for Active Youth.

The Skate Park contains 21,000 square feet of concrete with street skate elements and traditional style boarding ramps. Other unique structures provide for creative skating.

The park is operated and managed by the City of Spartanburg's Parks and Recreation Division and is the first public concrete park in the state of South Carolina.
