American Red Cross Classes
CPR For The Professional Rescuer
This course is designed for the rescuer with a duty to respond (such as lifeguards) or anyone with a desire to learn advanced CPR knowledge. Course content covers how to recognize and respond to breathing and cardiac emergencies in adults, infants, and children, along with two-person CPR, the use of body substance isolation precautions to prevent disease transmission, use of resuscitation bag-valve masks, along with the use of an AED for a victim of sudden cardiac arrest
Prerequisite: None. Pre-registration with payment is required for all classes. Fee: $45.00-Includes your participant manual and a CPR pocket mask Course Length: 8 hours Certification: Upon successful completion of hands on skills demonstration and multiple choice test, students will receive a CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer certification. Our C-Pro certification for Lifeguards is valid for one year.
Babysitters Training
The purpose of the Babysitter’s Training course is to provide youth ages 11-15, with the information and skills necessary to provide safe responsible care for children in the absence of parents or guardians. The American Red Cross Babysitter’s Training program is a fun, interactive course that will teach your child to; supervise children and infants, be a good leader and role model, make good decisions-solve problems-and stay safe, handle emergencies such as injuries-illness-and household accidents, and also learn business skills such as writing a resume and interviewing for a job.
Prerequisite: None. Pre-registration with payment is required for all courses. Fee: $45.00- Includes your Babysitter’s Training Handbook, Emergency Reference Guide, CD-ROM, a Red Cross tote, and snacks throughout the day. Course Length: 7 hours Because students are not able to drive we request that they each bring a sack lunch to class. We do have a microwave and refrigerator available for their convenience. Certification: Upon completion of hands on skills demonstration, students will receive a certification with no expiration date.
Workplace CPR
This course provides individuals in the workplace the knowledge and skills necessary to recognize and provide basic care including adult CPR, rescue breathing, choking, injuries, sudden illness, and how to use an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) for victims of sudden cardiac arrest until advanced medical personnel arrives.

Pre-registration with payment is required for all classes Fee: $35.00-Includes your participant manual Course Length: 6 hours-This course is scheduled for businesses that have at least six employees to be trained. Certification: Upon completion of hands on skills demonstration and multiple choice test, students will receive a Workplace Training Adult CPR Certification valid for 1 year and a Standard First Aid certification valid for 3 years.
Community CPR and First Aid
This comprehensive course includes: Adult, Child and Infant CPR, rescue breathing, choking rescue, and first aid skills including treatment of burns, fractures, sprains, seizures, bleeding control, sudden illness, injuries, poisoning, heat and cold emergencies. Prerequisite: None. Pre-registration with payment is required for all classes Fee: $40.00-Includes your participant manual Course Length: 8 hours This course is either scheduled for one eight-hour day of training or two four-hour days over two consecutive evenings. You must attend both evenings to receive certification. Certification: Upon successful completion of hands on skills demonstration and multiple choice test, students will receive an Adult, Child, Infant CPR certification valid for 1 year and a Community First Aid & Safety certification valid for 3 years.
Water Safety Instructor
This course trains instructor candidates to teach water safety, including the Basic Water Rescue course, six levels of Learn-to-Swim, Preschool Aquatics and Parent and Child Aquatics. Prerequisites: You must be at least 16 years of age by the last day of training, and have the ability to perform the following swimming skills: Swim-Front Crawl-25 yards, Back Crawl-25 yards, Breaststroke-25 yards, Elementary Backstroke-25 yards, Sidestroke-25 yards, and Butterfly-15 yards. Maintain position on back 1 minute in deep water (floating or sculling) Tread water for 1 minute. Fee: $120.00 Course Length: 30 hours-You must attend all sessions, no exceptions Certification: Once a candidate completes all reading assignments, participates in all activities, successfully completes all practice teaching assignments, and passes the final written exam, they will receive a Water Safety Instructor which is valid for 2 years and will renew annually as long as you continue to teach Water Safety courses.
