About Music on Main

Music on Main is Downtown Spartanburg's favorite after-work social gathering. A destination point where you can meet your friends and colleagues, hear great live music, enjoy food and beverages in an outdoor setting. The once a week concert is held each Thursday evening from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm in Downtown Spartanburg. Hear live music chosen from an eclectic line-up from Blues to Reggae...and Country to Beach.

Main Street at Denny's Plaza

Beautiful Denny's plaza located on East Main Street serves as the perfect backdrop for MOM. The park offers a pleasant atmosphere for an evening out while Main Street is a great place to listen to the live music or just hang out with friends and co-workers. The 200 block of East Main Street is barricaded to traffic during the concert to allow people to gather in the street for the largest weekly event in downtown Spartanburg

MOM Gives Back to the Community

Not only does Music on Main provide entertainment for the local community, but it also serves as an excellent fund-raising opportunity for Spartanburg's civic organizations. Club members serve as volunteers at each Music on Main concert and then receive a percentage of the sales to support their charities. Since MOM's inception (this is the 17th year), over $150,000 has been donated to local civic organizations. Some of the groups who volunteer at Music on Main each year include Critter Connection, Civitan Club of Spartanburg, Nights of Columbus, Big Brothers & Big Sisters, Piedmont Civitan Club, Spartanburg Jaycees, North Spartanburg Rotary Club, Uptown Sertoma Club, Spartanburg Ski Club, Area 12 Special Olympics, Spartanburg Young Professionals, The Spartanburg Downtown Association, and many more.

All of the volunteer group spots are filled for the 2010 Season.

There's More Than Music at MOM - Enjoy great food and drinks!

Sure there's lots of great music at Music on Main, but we want you to come hungry - and thirsty! Guests who are 21 years of age and older can enjoy a refreshing Adult Beverage. Budweiser of Spartanburg is on site offering a varied selection of products. New in 2010 will be RJ Rockers products as well as the traditional Budweiser products. Coca Cola products are also available for purchase. In addition to these drinks, visitors will also find Shaved Ice, Bruster's Real Ice Cream, and food from John John's will be available for purchase!

MOM Sponsors

Music on Main would not be possible with the generous support of our sponsors. AT&T has been the presenting sponsor for our weekly music series for over 10 years. Let's give them a round of applause for their support of this great community event! Please support AT&T and these other community-minded businesses:

No Sweat will play familiar songs throughout the show and has proven to be able to survive as a cover band based on the theory there IS a market for cover only bands because folks enjoy partying to music they know rather than...
