Code Enforcement

Code Enforcement Division work in partnership with residents of the City of Spartanburg to promote and maintain a safe and desirable living /working environment. Code Enforcement staff helps to maintain and improve the quality of our community in three ways:

	Administering a fair and unbiased enforcement program to correct violations of City Codes.
	Working with residents, neighborhood associations, public service agencies and other City of Spartanburg departments to:

	Empower community self-help programs.
	Develop public outreach programs.
	Establish community priorities for the enforcement program.

Code Enforcement also initiates special programs targeted toward specific problems in Spartanburg communities.

These programs include:

	Concentrated Code Enforcement Program.
	Targeting vacant, neglected and dangerous buildings.
	Derelict Vehicle Abatement
	Emergency Repair Program
