City of Spartanburg Parks & Recreation is dedicated to providing a variety of quality recreational and leisure opportunities to the citizens of Spartanburg and its visitors.The department's goal is to enhance the quality of life for all citizens/communities by managing resources, facilitating leisure services and recreational opportunities in safe, well-maintained environments.

Special Events · Area Parks

There are five recreation centers located conveniently throughout the City. These centers offer a wide variety of programs and services for preschoolers all the way to senior adults. Choose from classes, fitness, sports, cultural arts and many other special programs. Most of these programs are free or available at a modest cost, and all are open to the general public. Scholarships are available for some youth programs as well. Each facility is equipped with a professional staff that provides organized and free-play activities that are safe, fun, and educational. All centers have facilities available for rent. Gymnasiums and break-out rooms can be secured for special events. Call the centers for prices and availability.
