Development Services

The Development Services Department supports and promotes the community through residential and commercial development efforts throughout the City of Spartanburg. Development Services carries out four main operations: Building Inspections, Civil Engineering, Economic Development and Planning. The Assistant City Manager functions as the Development Services Director.
