Main Street Challenge: Square footage-a-plenty at 167 East Main Street
Imagining Spartanburg's next great Downtown businesses
The Main Street Challenge officially got going this past Sunday, and to celebrate Spartanburg's latest innovative economic development project, we thought it might be fun to do a little show-and-tell for the six potential locations available for the three winners of the contest. So far, we've seen the available spaces at 147 East Main Street, 154 East Main Street, and 162 East Main Street, and today we're going to take a look at 167 East Main Street. This 2,281 square foot space stands out from the others in that it can be combined with its neighboring space at 169 East Main into one massive storefront of well over 4,000 square feet, enough for even the most ambitious downtown business concept.
Do you have an idea for 167 East Main, or maybe an idea big enough for both spaces? Share it with the rest of us by leaving a comment below!
Is that idea of yours just too good? Maybe even good enough to be one of the three challenge winners? Great! Check out our Main Street Challenge page, and fill out an application to get in the contest. Who knows? The business that fills 162 East Main Street might be your own.
