Upstate International Festival Parade in Downtown Spartanburg
Parade starts at 10 a.m. on Saturday, March 23
Downtown Spartanburg will be the host for the Upstate International Festival parade on Saturday, March 23 at 10 a.m. The Upstate International Festival is a monthlong, regional celebration of international cultures, and features special events in towns and cities all over the Upstate.
On Saturday, the parade coordinated by the City of Spartanburg’s Special Events Department features the international community of the Upstate and culminates with events and an international mixer on Morgan Square, which will last until 2 p.m. The parade starts at the corner of Dean and East Main streets and continues down East Main to Morgan Square. Entertainment will include bagpipers, an accordion player, African drummers, Cherokee Indian drummers and dancers, and much more. Participating businesses and organizations include: Upstate International Banner, BMW, Michelin, International Cultures of Spartanburg, Knights of Columbus, Boiling Springs High School International Club, Wofford International, E.P. Todd Elementary School French students, USC Upstate International Studies, and the German American Club, among others.
