The City of Spartanburg Viking football camp works to provide a meaning fundamental football teaching opportunity as well as social interaction to the youth in our city and surrounding communities. The football camp is operated by the Spartanburg Vikings High Head Coach and staff. The cost of the camp is $30. Girl Power! Is a 5 day instructional camp that teaches girls ages 7-12 the fundamentals of five different sports: soccer, softball, volleyball, lacrosse, and basketball. The camp will be held June 22–26 at Spartanburg High School and Duncan Park. Girls will receive instructions from female staff consisting of Spartanburg High School coaches, City of Spartanburg staff, and volunteers. The program is empowering, safe, spirited, and fun. It’s about exposure to and instruction in several sports, and bonding with role models who share our passion. Girl Power! is designed to help campers grow both as athletes and as people. The cost of the camp is $40.00. Please make checks payable to the City of Spartanburg
Monday, 6/22-Soccer (SHS Main Field)-Bring Lunch (snacks will be provided)
Tuesday, 6/23-Basketball (SHS Gym) )-Bring Lunch (snacks will be provided)
Wednesday, 6/24-Lacrosse (SHS Main Field) )- Lunch & snacks provided
Thursday, 6/25-Volleyball (SHS Gym) )-Bring Lunch (snacks will be provided)

Drop off each day will be at 8:30 a.m. and pick up at 2:30 p.m. in the same location. We are anticipating hot weather so remember your sunscreen and dress in cool athletic gear. The girls will get plenty of breaks so they can stay hydrated and fresh. However, feel free to send your daughter with a water bottle or fluids in general to drink throughout the day. All necessary equipment will be provided for camp participants. However, girls can wear cleats on days they are required and bring their own equipment for lacrosse or softball, such as a lacrosse stick or softball glove.
