C.C. Woodson Community Center is a 27,000-square-foot facility that offers  a variety of services and activities for people of all ages and interests. Reopened in 2010 after a $7 million renovation project, C.C. Woodson's programs attract people from across the city and beyond!

Northwest Center

The Northwest Community Center offers a wide range of indoor and outdoor recreational, educational and social programs and activities for all ages, including: after-school programs, athletics, karate classes, summer day camps, computer literacy programs, reading programs, and more.

Rev. James D. Thornton Activity Center

Opened in August 2015, the James D. Thornton Activity Center provides programming for youth , adults and seniors. The center can also be reserved for private events.

  • Monday 9am-5pm
  • Tuesday 12noon-8pm
  • Wednesday 12noon-8pm
  • Thursday 12noon-8pm
  • Friday 9am-5pm
  • Saturday 9am-1pm
