Procurement & Risk Management

Procurement and Risk Management are extremely important functions that ultimately serve to save taxpayer money by ensuring the City obtains the best possible value for dollars spent and minimizing the City's exposure to risk.

Procurement Division

Responsible for acquiring all supplies, goods, and services needed for municipal operations. The department ensures all goods and services are processed with the standards set forth in the Procurement Policies and Procedures and state procurement law while enhancing the City's reputation for progressiveness, intergrity and fairness in the procurement process.

Risk Management Division

Responsible for minimizing the City's risk, addressing safety issues pertaining to activities sponsored by the City of Spartanburg, and coordinating insurance claims filed with the City.
