HUD Grant Funding

The City of Spartanburg receives annual entitlement funding from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) based on annual federal budget appropriations. Each year, the City seeks to maximize the benefits of these funds by partnering with local organizations to conduct eligible activities that primarily benefit low-moderate income residents of the City of Spartanburg.

In accordance with the requirements of the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development, 24 CFR Part 91 et al., the City of Spartanburg will make available the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), HOME Investment Partnerships (HOME) and HOME Investment Partnerships American Rescue Plan Program (HOME-ARP) application for the Fiscal Year 2024 funding: July 1, 2024, to June 30, 2025.

The FY 2024 CDBG, HOME and HOME-ARP applications are available below.

The City will hold a Public Hearing on recommendations for Funding Allocations for CDBG, HOME and HOME-ARP in March 2024. Notice of awards is anticipated to be made in August 2024, after approval from Spartanburg City Council and HUD.

All applications and copies must be received by 5 pm on February 2, 2024. Applications received after the deadline will not be reviewed nor considered for funding.
