Municipal Court

Municipal Court is part of the unified judicial system for the State of South Carolina and serves as the judicial court for the City of Spartanburg. Our goal is to ensure due process and equal protection of the law to all parties and to work to instill public trust and confidence in the court.

If you have been summoned to appear and serve as a juror in the City of Spartanburg Municipal Court, please call the Juror Information Line to make sure you are still required to appear in court. Please call after 6 pm the day before you are scheduled to appear to receive the most current information.

City of Spartanburg Homeless Court

The City of Spartanburg Homeless Court is a voluntary program created to help individuals who are either currently homeless or homeless at the time they were charged with a criminal offense that falls within the criteria for participation. The purpose of the Homeless Court is to encourage participants to receive and complete treatment and rehabilitation programs in exchange for the dismissal of the fines associated with a criminal offense and, in some cases, the dismissal of an offense.
