The Citizen Advisory Council (CAC) is a board of neighborhood leaders. This group meets quarterly to raise awareness to the issues in their neighborhoods and brings them to the attention of City staff.
In 2018, the CAC presented City Council with the idea of having a litter patrol team because of the issues the neighborhoods were having with litter. In 2019, our public services department headed the effort and a litter team was put into place.
Neighborhood Connections is a series of training sessions we offer to engage neighborhoods by helping them learn new things. Our first series of classes features how to create flyers and newsletters, how to become a 501c3how to apply for grants, and how to create social media pages for your neighborhood.
